mine ring pen
one thing I learned, pandemic or not, people naturally reach for your hand as soon as they see your ring. since wearing it at my healthcare job, I make sure to clean it after work, and then I keep a mine co. pen with me when I’m on the go.
nail polish
between looking down at my own hand in the most “omg pinch me” way possible, and having other people looking at my hand to see the ring, I like keeping my nails painted! I typically have a dip manicure done, but the early stages of quarantine last year taught me to get better at doing regular manicures at home. I personally have come to love Olive & June polishes! they were kind enough to send me their Perfect Match Set - which is super popular with brides, and I totally see why! it’s sold out at the time of posting, but the individual colors are in stock. they’re also really active on their instagram, and show you how to give yourself a salon-quality manicure at home.
coffee shop gift cards (and a cute mug or tumbler)
wedding planning, like many things, can lead to being a bit sleepy and under-caffeinated. if your friend is a coffee drinker, grab them a gift card to their favorite coffee/tea place, or a bag of beans/box of tea they can make at home! as a bonus, you can get a cute customized mug or tumbler to go with it. (side note: wylde one’s ‘yoga in a cup’ and ‘chill af cacao’ have been WONDERFUL for me when i’m going to relax, and 10/10 recommend)!
stoney clover pouch
y’all know I love a good stoney clover pouch! I came home one day to find a “Mrs.” small pouch waiting for me sent by SCL, and it is quite possibly my all time favorite. such a sweet gift from one of my favorite companies, and just like all of their products - it holds EVERYTHING! this “bride” pouch is available for “takeout” (a.k.a. it ships pretty quickly)!
wedding planning journal
this one truly depends on the person! if they’re big into journaling and keeping mementos, then I say go for it! I definitely fall into that category, but have been too indecisive about the journal I want! right now, I’m partial to this cute kate spade one though. if they’re using a (human) wedding planner, this isn’t totally necessary, but still a fun way to keep track of this exciting time!
mrs. box
if you know your friend’s wedding color(s), or favorite color, an heirloom ring box from The Mrs. Box can make a great gift! I treated myself to one (when I first saw them - waaaaay before we got engaged - I knew I’d get one for my eventual engagement ring), and I love it. it’s a beautiful place to store my ring when I’m not wearing it.
if you’re engaged (or now married) - if you got engagement presents, what were some of your favorites?
